Wow, what a year!

It seems like forever since we have all met up again. We have had some positive signs recently, but with now games will be enjoyed by EVERYONE! While I am looking forward to that, I can’t help but reflect on the past year and think just one thing. I am grateful.

I am grateful for big things, like a job and healthy family, but little things like being able to spend more time at home and walking more. Terrible things like pandemics can spark amazing growth in you upon reflection.

Great, but how does relate to FC Cincinnati? We had a whole YEAR without a home game with fans. Compared to other things in the world, it was a small price to pay. I recently got to see some of my FC Cincinnati, SG, and Briogaid family a while ago. It was at once a very long time and a very short time. It felt like forever, but we picked up right where we left off. I also got to go to the stadium to see a game live. It was a privilege to be there and I am grateful. It seemed unthinkable in January.

The new stadium brings new hope, but new things take time to break in. New march routes, parking spaces, stadium rules. Change is never easy, until you have a routine, then it changes again. Regardless of where I park, where I sit, and the problems of “new”, I will be grateful to go through this with my FC Cincinnati family, where we get through it all together, and have some fun for a change.
