Welcome Back, Welcome Home
By Matt Warman
A new season and our home opener! Our second go 'round downtown and at Nellie's, time really does fly! This is time of year when we get to rekindle our friendships of our FCC family. But is also the time of year to make new friendships too.
We at The Briogaid have been working hard to help bring new people into the FCC family, by reaching out to new people in various ways. We have grown a lot in the last couple of years, with many new faces, and I want to say if you are new to The Briogaid, or even soccer culture thanks for joining us. We are here to help. It can be overwhelming with so many new people on who to talk to about things. We have many great members to help with questions and our council are listening to your questions. Just introduce yourself, you're family now!
Our Slack channel is a great place to connect with fellow members, ask questions, give comments and help out. Nellie's is our home bar, so you can put names to faces. Participate in our non soccer events like marching in the St. Patrick's Day parade, and the Celtic festival. We need your help and it's a lot fun!
As we expand, there will be problems, snafus, miscommunications. Leadership is working hard at making sure everyone gets their merchandise, hype our upcoming events and getting people involved. We will need your help to make our organization the best it can be.
We are very happy to have you in The Briogaid, and can't wait to see you at Nellie's soon!
